Obituary of A. Meigs
A. Meigs Jr., "Buddy", 85, died January 11, 2009.
Buddy was born January 18, 1923 in Wilmington, NC. A WWII Army Air Corps veteran who served in Italy, Buddy went to work for the Atlantic Coastline Railroad. After 40 years he retired from what ultimately became CSX Transportation.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Theresa; sister, Julia; son, John (Janet); daughter, Mary (Stan); three grandchildren (Teri, Lori,Colin); and one great grandson (Noah). He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all.
Services will be held Thursday, January 15, at 11 am at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3383 University Boulevard, N. Visitation will be at 10 am prior to the funeral.
