Obituary of Alice Dehner

Alice (Granny) Ruth Dehner, 78, started her new journey on Saturday, October 27, 2007. She is remembered as a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Alice was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 18, 1929 to the late, George and Gertrude Knollman. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Herman Dehner of 32 years, and her sister Dorothy Boller.Alice was very active in San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church and was one of the "Golden Girls". Before retiring she worked at Publix Super Markets. She is survived by her 9 children, son David (Zoe) Dehner of Saint Johns, AZ; son Michael Dehner of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Mary (Charlie) Coleman of Jacksonville, FL; son Thomas Dehner of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Janet (Keith) Brown Buford, GA; son Ronald (Patricia) Dehner of Tallahassee, FL; daughter Kathleen (Jerry) Melton of St. Augustine, FL; son Stephen (Amanda) Dehner of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Patricia (Michael) Mills of Suwanee, GA; along with 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1714 State Road 13 North, on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 for a vigil from 6-8 p.m. and a Catholic mass on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Flowers will be accepted.
