Obituary of Alice Rayburn

Alice Lucille Rayburn, 91, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012. She was a loving mother, dedicated grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Alice was born on November 6, 1920 in Sumner, Florida to the late John and Kate Johnson. She is preceded in death by her brother Elmer Johnson. Alice was a charter member of Parkwood Baptist Church and was a long time resident of Arlington area of Jacksonville, FL. She also worked as a civil servant for social security administration and retired from the civil service. Alice is survived by her son Thomas (Phyllis) Taegel; granddaughter Brenda Balcom and great-granddaughter Brin Balcom. Family will receive friends at Parkwood Baptist Church, 7900 Lone Star Road, for a memorial service at 1:00pm on Monday, March 5, 2012.
