Obituary of Alma Perret

Alma Simons Perret, 89, passed away June 21, 2009. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as an inspiring and devoted guidance counselor who helped many children. Alma moved to Jacksonville four years ago from New Orleans. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford J. Perret, Sr., her son, Clifford J. Perret, Jr. and her daughter, Linda Perret Barry. Alma is survived by her daughters, Diane Perret Royal (Peter) and Patricia Perret; grandchildren, Peter Royal, Jr. (Tricia), Renee Royal, Julie Royal Konikoff (Mike), Randall Royal, Shannon Bingham and Riley Bingham; great grandchildren, Sasha Konikoff and Poppy Royal, a loving extended family and many friends. The family will receive friends tonight from 5-7 p.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd. Mass will be celebrated by Father Fred Parke at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, to help with rebuilding after hurricane Katrina. Interment will take place in New Orleans.
