Obituary of Anes Stike

Anes Muriel Stike, 88, passed away March 27, 2010. She was born in Matoaka, West Virginia and was the daughter of Lewis and Lucy Akers. During her career years Mrs. Stike was very professional as a manager in the retail industry. She enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Stike loved nature and traveling. She also had a very extensive library and was often found reading. A kind and beautiful person, Mrs. Stike will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Akers and Lewis Akers, Jr. and a sister, Lomel Martin. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Scott (Gordon); son, Harold Stike (Dee); grandson, Brad Scott (Susan); granddaughters, Debbie Northrup, Tammy Nicholas (Jimmy) and Michel Ervien (John); great grandchildren, Jeremy Shumate (Tara Dehof), Valerie LaBelle (James), Jessica Ervien and Robbie Ervien; and great-great granddaughter, Ester LaBelle. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Community Hospice of North East Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road.
