Obituary of Anna Riley

RILEY, Anna Mary Aubey, 84, died August 13, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on October 7, 1927 in Mobile, Alabama, the only child of Joseph Aubey and Emma Connors Aubey. She graduated from Convent of Mercy High School in Mobile in 1944. In 1958, she married James H. Riley and moved to Jacksonville. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church for over 40 years and participated in numerous clubs, activities, and community events. She loved animals, Mardi Gras balls, traveling, and being around people. She was predeceased by her husband. Survivors include her daughter, Col. Sharon Riley of Charlottesville, Virginia, and many close friends. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, August 16, at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, and the funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 17, at Christ the King Catholic Church, with interment immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
