Obituary of Anne Olinto
Anne Heffron Olinto (90), devoted wife and mother, passed away December 25, 2015 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Nan Heffron, and by her husband of 64 years, Crosby. Anne and Crosby met in college at UMass after WWII and started a lifelong love affair. They moved to Jacksonville in the early 1950's and were one of the first families to be members of Christ the King Catholic Church. Anne was actively involved for many years with the Christ the King Altar Society, teaching CCD, her guild, and the National Right to Life Committee. She never missed First Saturday Mass. Her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
Anne is survived by her brother Terry Heffron (Janet) and her six children: Crosby M. Olinto (Pam), Kim O. Washington (Mike), Karen O. Smith (Bert), Brendon P. Olinto (Julie), Damon B. Olinto (Janet) and John H. Olinto (Camille). Anne is also survived by dozens of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home located at 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, on Wednesday, December 30th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a Rosary Service to start at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Christ the King Catholic Church on Thursday, December 31st, at 2:00pm; interment will be private at a later date in Arlington Park Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Margaret, Charlene and Pat for all their loving care for our parents over the years. You are all a part of the family and words cannot express our thanks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or Christ the King Catholic Church.
