BOWERS, Ardie Frank Ardie Bowers passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Born in Fairfax, AL to Jasper and Lonie Bowers, he was the youngest of 5 children.
He served as a U.S. Army medic in Korea, before being honorably discharged. He then obtained a M.B.A. from the University of Alabama. Mr. Bowers was an educator and principal with the Nassau County public schools.
Mr. Bowers was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lacey, Lester, Forrest, and sister Delean; his twin granddaughters Allison and Jessica; as well as his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary. He is survived by his daughter, Gwendolyn Tennant-Evans (John); his grandson Harrison Frank Tennant (fianc Brittany Hobbs); grandson John Hunter Evans (Melissa); granddaughter Victoria Brooks Evans; and great-grandson John Grayson Evans.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5-7 pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 am. All arrangements are through Arlington Park Funeral Home.
