Arthur David Preston III, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, March 18, 2023. A.D. was born on October 26, 1943, in Berwyn, Illinois, the second child of Art and Cora Preston; raised in Weatherford, Texas with his six siblings. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1962 where he played baseball, football, ran track and was a Golden Glove boxer…Go Kangaroos! He served his country after enlisting in the Marines then spent a lifetime helping people through Goodyear Tire and Service. A.D. and Nina loved traveling, playing golf and spending time with their grandchildren. He was a church member of Fort Caroline Baptist Church.
A.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Cora Preston; wife, Nina Preston; brothers, Dan, Michael, and Johnny Preston; and sisters, Pat and Janie. He is survived by his children, Paige Unkefer (Mark), David Preston, and Mike Ring; grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac, Seth, Sam, Caleb, Hanna, Gavin and Colton; sister, Jacque Wortman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in A.D.'s memory on Saturday, April 15 at 11 a.m. at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Fl 32211.
