October 3, 1941 – September 15, 2021
Augen (Yogi) Waarum passed away on Wednesday, September 15th while in Hospice care. His wife Linda Evans Waarum was with him at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife; his children, Thomas Waarum, Kim Pommer, Tammy Horn and Buck Smoak and his Wife Whitney Smoak; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Ashty
After graduating from Landon high school, he served his country in the US Army. In addition to his love for his family, Yogi loved his work. He spent 45 years working for the City of Jacksonville and held various positions. He worked at the Jacksonville Zoo, the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Office and in the Radio Shop and in the Fleet Coordinator's Office with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. After retirement he was employed for the Jacksonville Police Athletic League and most recently with NAPA auto parts. Yogi had success everywhere he worked, primarily due to his engaging personality and he never met a stranger.
Yogi was the son of Bjarne and Eva Waarum, who he loved dearly and has now joined them in the kingdom of God.
There will be a celebration of life gathering on September 30th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm . A military funeral service will be held on October 1st at 12 noon . Both functions will be held at the Arlington Park Funeral Home at 6920 Lone star Road , Jax., Fl 32211
