Obituary of Barbara Moore

Barbara Alice Moore, 85, went to be home with the Lord on Monday, May 21, 2012. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Barbara was born on May 11, 1927 in Sault Ste Marie, Canada to the late Roy and Susan Burgess. She is preceded in death by her loving husband James N. Moore of 48 wonderful years; son James L. Moore; granddaughter Kristy L. Moore. Barbara retired from JC Penney's after 17 years of dedicated service, where she loved to fold towels. She moved to Jacksonville, FL with her husband back in 1971 where they owned the Dunkin Donuts in Jacksonville Beach. Barbara will be truly missed by everyone who loved her. She is survived by her sons Gary Moore, Keith (Carrie) Moore; daughter Darlene (Nathan) Hamilton; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and daughter-in-law Susan K. Moore. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and a funeral service on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
