Barbara S. Meyer, 95, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026. Born in Wilmington, NC, on October 8, 1930, she was the daughter of William C. Stancil and Ada Elizabeth Stancil. In 1946, the family moved to Jacksonville, FL, with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. After graduating from Riverside High School, Barbara worked as a secretary before marrying Frank H. Meyer on April 15, 1950. She is survived by six of her eight children: Brenda, F. Haden Jr., Bill, Lori, Bert, and Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Meyer; her son, Robert S. Meyer; and her daughter, B. Gail Meyer.

Graveside service is Thursday, September 10, 2026, 11:00am, Arlington Park Cemetery. A reception will be held after the service at a family home.
