Obituary of Bengy Widener

Bengy Eugene Widener, 75, went home to be with his Lord on November 4, 2008. He is remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, great-grandfather, and joyous friend. Bengy is preceded in death by his son, Barry "Gene" Widener. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of ten beautiful years, Margina Widener; children, Wanda, Diane (Dean), Eddie (Sheila), Lisa, Eric (Trina), David (Melissa), Erroll (Vanessa), Wendall (Joni), Charleesa (Mark), Janet, and Tammy (Ross); grandchildren, Ryan, Brannen, Timmy, Kirsten, Dawn, Renee, Billy, Evie, Barry, Samantha, Misty, Aerial, Brian, Ryan, Bengy, Brannon, Erroll, Tabby, Gabriel, Joshua, Erin, Abigail, Hannah, Heather, Brian, and Brittany; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers, Virgil (Von) and J.D. (Hattie); sister, Bettey Gracey; brother-in-law, Billy Murphy (Carmen), and many trusted friends. Bengy owned and operated Automatic Transmission since 1977. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the VFW. Bengy was a loyal and active member of Ft. Caroline Baptist Church. Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 6-8 pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Funeral Services will be held on November 7, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Ft. Caroline Baptist Church, 11428 McCormick Road, Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ft. Caroline Baptist Church Building Fund.
