Mrs. Berenice Antoinette Knight Mitchell, was born August 26, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Pete Jr. and Rosie Lee Knight. She made her peaceful transition on September 3, 2022 at her home. She was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida for over 57 years. She retired from a career at The Prudential Insurance Company of America after a period of 21 years.
Mrs. Mitchell attended Stanton Vocational High School (C/O 1965) in Jacksonville, FL. She continued her education at Florida Community College in Jacksonville, FL; and later at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. She would later obtain her paralegal certification from Jacksonville University. She enjoyed laughing, listening to music, working in her yard and reading. Mrs. Mitchell was a Heroine of Jericho- Washington Court.

Berenice was preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Knight and Cindy P. Knight; and her brother, Charles Knight. She is survived by her sons, Terrence J. Martin (Carmen) and Bryant C. Williams; sisters, Fannie Clark and Mary E. Dotson; brothers, Rudolph Kitchens, Antonio W. Knight, and Tyree L. Knight (Cassandra); grandchildren, Jonas Martin and Noah Martin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, God sisters/brothers and friends.
