Betsy was born to Helen Prosser and N.A. Bothwell on January 11, 1940 in Sharon, Pennsylvania. She went to her eternal reward on February 25th, 2020. Betsy was predeceased by her parents, sister, Linda and first husband William. She left behind her second husband Charles; sons, John (Laura) and Steven (Allison), and daughter Leslie; grand-children, Kaleigh (Josh), Nicole (Rick), Corey, Jesse (Elizabeth), and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Cason, Landon, Sofia, and Zharia; step-sons, Joshua (Autumn) and Robert (Kim) and step-grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Joshua, and Abigail.
In 1953, Betsy moved to Jacksonville with her family, attended duPont High School for three years and graduated from Terry Parker Highschool. Her next three years were spent at St. Luke's Nursing School where she earned her RN. She spent over forty years with Baptist Medical Center with her most enjoyable years as charge nurse in the neonatal ICU. Her final years were slowed by her dementia, but she enjoyed taking cruises to Europe with Charles and being a table grand-parent in the LOGOS program of Highlands United Presbyterian Church. Following a private interment at Arlington Park Cemetery, a Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, February 27th at Highlands United Presbyterian Church, 10900 McCormick Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
