Bette Lu Goedtke, the daughter of Charles and Muriel (McKinney) Brown, was born on March 16, 1935 in St. Louis Park, MN. Her family moved to Fulda, MN in 1947.

Bette was united in marriage to Eldon Goedtke on April 20, 1952 at First Presbyterian Church in Fulda. After their marriage they lived and farmed northeast of Fulda. They moved to Jacksonville in 1968. Bette volunteered at Memorial Hospital and Brooks Rehab for many years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Eldon, their children Gene (Becky) Goedtke, Patty (Frank) Caviness, David (Connie) Goedtke, Debbie (Carl) West, 5 grandsons; Nathan, Michael, Patrick, Stephen, Zachary, and her brother Charles Brown. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Peggy Lee, her parents, and her sister, Judy Koopman.

The family will receive guests for a visitation 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211

A Memorial Service will take place at 10 am Monday June 20, 2016 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 with Reverend Paul Murphy officiating.
