Bettie A. Dearen passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 90 years of age. She was born on December 29, 1930, in Macon, Georgia. Bettie resided in Jacksonville, Florida for the last 70 plus years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Royal Gates Dearen, Jr. Bettie was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

Bettie is survived by three Daughters and Son-in-laws, Cherrita and John Griswold of Cumming, Georgia, Renee and Bill Worley, and Trina and Bobby Lyons of Jacksonville, Florida; one Son and Daughter-in-law, Gates III and Renee Dearen, of Jacksonville, Florida; 11 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. Bettie is also survived by two Sisters, Nita Morrison, and Katie Jones; Brother and Sister-in-law, Dan and Evie Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Destination Church Assembly of God, 88 Arlington Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32211 on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM with the service to immediately follow. Pastor Chad Burgbacher officiating. After the service, entombment will be at 2:00PM, at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Old Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32211.
