Obituary of Betty Hendricks

Mrs. Betty McFarlin Hendricks, 86, entered into rest on October 15, 2013. She is remembered as a true southern lady who exemplified style and grace. She was born on January 12, 1927 in Murfreesboro, TN to the late Howard and Ruth McFarlin. Having been an independent woman, Betty enjoyed an active life. She has been on camels in Egypt, riding in hot air balloons, deep sea fishing and traveling. She adored raising horses and training them, above all Betty treasured being surrounded by her family. Betty always placed the well being of others before her own needs. She is preceded in death by her husband, John F. Hendricks, Jr. She is survived by her sons, John F. Hendricks III and Bob Hendricks; granddaughters, Sarah, Olivia and Riley Hendricks and many trusted friends. Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:00am in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. She was a remarkable lady who will be remembered with love and thoughtfulness.
