Obituary of Betty Pagel

Betty Louise Pagel, 77, went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2009 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born November 25, 1931 in Hector, Minnesota to Donald Garlock and Lucinda Kuther Garlock. After moving to Jacksonville Betty was in business with her husband owning Holiday Motors on Phillips Highway during the 1960's and 70's and they lived in University Park in the Arlington area. Betty had a great love for animals and felt it was her job on earth to take care of cats. She was Lutheran by faith. She moved to Huntsville, Alabama three years ago to be with her daughter and her family.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Garlock, Lucinda Garlock Niles and her step father, Ralph Niles; brothers, George Garlock and Orlin "Sonny" Niles and her husband, Ervin Pagel.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Ila Jain and her husband, Dr. Rohit Jain of Huntsville, Alabama; granddaughters, Tarina Jain and Raina Jain; many nieces and nephews in Minnesota and many loving friends.

A service to celebrate Betty's life will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:00am in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road with Christian Readings by her dear friend, Susan Pohland.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society.
