Betty Jean Phillips Green, 88, passed from this life into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on December 18, 2022. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 6, 1934 to Harry Lee Phillips and Wilmay Caroline Swan Phillips.

A member of the former Golden Rockers chapter of the National Camper and Hikers Association, Super Seniors, and AARP Chapter #3545. Active in volunteer work for many years, held offices and served on boards of various organizations including Club Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, Shepherd Center of the First Coast and AARP. A Christian, an ordained deaconess. Her greatest joy was her family.

Surviving are her beloved sons, Marvin C. Green III, Michael Lee Green and his wife Kristi, Christopher Philip Green, and daughter Kelly Green Carter and husband Michael. 5 Granddaughters; Abbey Bethencourt (Tony), Amber Green, Katelyn Goldman (Jacob), Krystal Scotland (Vanessa), Kortney Smith (Robert). 3 Great-Grandchildren; Brooke, Blair, and Brent. Brother, Harry Phillips (Yoshi) and Sister Sandra Phillips. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Marvin C. Green Jr.

We, who know and love her, find peace that this loving, kind woman is with God and is no longer in pain.

Services will be held, Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at Arlington Park Funeral Home at 12:00PM, followed by burial at Arlington Park Cemetery. Family will be receiving guests one hour prior to services at 11:00AM. 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.
