Bonalyn "Bonnie" Metz, 81, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Buffalo New York to Carl Sievert and Orpha Day on April 27, 1937.

Bonnie was married to Bob Metz on August 22nd, 1959. She had 2 children, Randy and Linda. She was a homemaker until her children were older. She then trained to become a dog groomer and bought The Poodlery, in East Amherst, New York. Bonnie was an avid acrylic painter and loved to paint scenery from photos of places she'd traveled. She played the piano, organ and guitar. She loved swimming, and camping. Bonnie lived in Pine Island, FL with Bob in her retirement years before moving to Jacksonville, FL to live closer to family.

Bonnie was preceded in death by parents; Carl Sievert and Orpha Sievert and loving husband Robert "Bob" Metz.

She is survived by; sister, Ann Frankus; son, Randall Metz, daughter, Linda Schrenk (Dave Schrenk Sr.), grandchildren, Alecia Schrenk, Katheryn Crowley, Hannah Schrenk, David Schrenk Jr. and Aaron Schrenk.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 4-6PM in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211.  Funeral services will follow at 6PM with Pastor Jeffery McDuffie Celebration Church (Care Pastor) officiating.  Internment for Bonnie and her late husband, Robert Metz is scheduled at 1PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, where Military Honors will be rendered.
