Bonangeun "B" Xoumphonphakdy, 79, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Vientiane, Laos, Grandma B was a proud Asian American who built a beautiful life in the U.S. with her late husband, Ko Xoumphonphakdy. She was a devoted mother to Thip Thach, Moni Buckman, Joy Xoumphonphakdy, and a loving grandmother to 5 grandchildren.

She found joy in simple pleasures, such as going "ching ching", gardening, feeding her turtles, watching Asian dramas, and traveling. Known for her humor and warmth, Grandma B's favorite saying, "No money, no honey," brought smiles to everyone. Her legacy lives on through the love, laughter, and resilience she shared with her family and friends.
