Brenda Kirkland, 74, of Jacksonville, Florida died Thursday June 1st, 2023 at the home she shared with her loving husband, Lafayette. Brenda was born on April 18th, 1949 in Tupelo, Mississippi to Alvis Finney and Melba McGregor.

After growing up in Mississippi, Brenda settled in Jacksonville, Florida where she met her Husband, Lafayette Kirkland, and had been together for 56 years.

Brenda enjoyed church music and spending time with family. She led a wonderful life as a devoted mother of two sons, Mark and Matthew, and spouse to Lafayette.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father and mother, Alvis and Melba; husband, Lafayette; Son, Mark; and sister, Sheila.

Brenda is survived by her Son, Matthew; Sister, Jane; brother, Larry, and many nieces and nephews. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation for Brenda will be on Wednesday, June 7th from 4-6pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held the following day at Arlington Park Cemetery at 12:00pm.
