Obituary

Mr. Bruce Anthony Thomas, affectionately known as "Tony," passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1969, in Gary, Indiana, to Mr. Bruce Thomas and Ms. Valerie Thomas.

Tony was a strong-minded and dedicated man who provided steadfastly for his family. Known for his firm yet caring nature, he lived his life with purpose, passion, and pride. A proud truck driver by trade, Tony traveled many miles but always found joy in the little things—especially his favorite snacks like Twizzlers and Jolly Ranchers.

He met the love of his life, Tammy, in 1989, and the two shared a deep and lasting bond. Their love blossomed over the years, and they were happily married in 2002. Together, they built a life grounded in love, respect, and family.

Tony had a deep love for classic cars, especially his cherished '87 Corvette, and was rarely seen without his signature cowboy boots and eye-catching belt buckles. His bold style reflected his bold spirit. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan, cheering passionately for the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Yankees, and Dallas Cowboys.

He was known for his memorable words of wisdom, often reminding those around him: "Don't be a follower, be that great leader." This guiding principle lives on in the hearts of his family.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Thomas, and his beloved grandmother, Shirley V. Coleman.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and leadership. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tammy Thomas; four sons: David Thomas, Anton Thomas, Reuben Thomas, and Neko Thomas; and one grandson, Theo Thomas. He is also survived by his loving mother, Valerie Thomas; his sister, Shenea Thomas; his nephew, DeVonte Mabon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will continue to carry his memory forward.

Tony will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unwavering love, bold spirit, and timeless wisdom.
