IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carmen Elena
Canjura
August 22, 1943 – November 12, 2019
Carmen E. Canjura, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. She was 76. Carmen was born August 22,1943 in El Salvador, San El Salvador, the daughter of Ernesto and Ana Maria (Chiquillo) Gravi.
Carmen loved to cook. Cooking brought her immense joy in life and she always smiled while doing it. Carmen was always outside fixing her garden, even though it already looked perfect. She would always talk to the plants and work hard in her garden even when she was tired, or the weather conditions were not that great. Carmen also had a cat named Crystal and a dog named Jade, including another dog named Tinkerbell who has sadly passed away and is now in heaven with Carmen. Her animals would always follow her around in the house and were always by her side through everything, even when she was not feeling well. She adored her animals as if they were her own and she considered them her family and she loved them with all her heart. Carmen's other hobbies, besides gardening, were doing crossword puzzles and watching her telenovelas, as well as playing bingo and card games with her family. In her spare time, she would always try and create happy memories with her family and would use games and cooking, even gardening as a way to bring us all together. Carmen enjoyed decorating for Christmas and spending time with her family during the holidays. Even though she was short she would still try and put decorations in places she couldn't quite reach, but she did it anyway because she loved the holidays, lighting up her Christmas tree to cooking to even helping Carlos with the lights outside. Carmen was Catholic but was extremely open-minded to those of a different religion and was willing to talk to anyone because to her, God was God. She loved God and would always have her bible right next to her nightstand and would read it every night and pray. She always had God in her heart no matter what she was going through or where she was at. Carmen loved her family immensely. She would do anything for them and especially adored her own children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by: Rosa Ines Valdez, Teresa Gravi, Marta Guadalupe Villeda, Guilermo Salvador Villeda. Along with her kids, Ana Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ricardo Alberto Rodriguez, Jose F Rodriguez. Also, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carmen was preceded in death by: Her mother, her father, along with her four brothers.
