IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carmen Vincent
Citro
November 12, 1934 – April 26, 2025
Carmen Citro, 90, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1934, to Luciano and Josephine Citro.
Carmen was born and raised in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Arizona. There, he met and married the love of his life, Margo Muse, beginning a 62-year journey filled with love, family, and adventure.
Carmen worked 30 years for the Philadelphia Post Office and was a passionate sportsman, playing softball and becoming an award-winning bowler, often teaming up with Margo. Together, they raised six children and, after many years of hard work, spent their retirement traveling the world — visiting Italy, Bavaria, Russia, Japan, and many more places they had once only dreamed of.
Later in life, Carmen and Margo moved to Florida, where he lived out his remaining years surrounded by sunshine, family visits, and fond memories of a life well-lived.
Carmen had a brilliant mind, and he was a skilled mathematician and expert card player – sharp, quick witted and always up for a challenge. But more than anything, it was his personality that left a lasting impression. Known as the "Mighty CIT" to his friends, he had a magnetic charm and people simply loved being around him.
Carmen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margo, his parents Luciano and Josephine, his brother Michael, his sisters Philomena and Ann Citro Tressider and his grandson Matthew Miller.
He is lovingly remembered by his children Trish (Glenn), Lucia (Jeffrey), Dana (Tom), Vincent (Helen), Michael, and Adriane; his nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Carmen's spirit, kindness, and deep devotion to family will remain with all who knew and loved him.
Inurnment will be in the Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville Florida on June 30th at 1 pm
