Carol E. Palmer, 84, passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2020.  She was born on December 7th, 1936 to Charles and Evelyn Ellwanger.

Carol graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1955 and went on to be a graduate of UNA in Florence, AL where she met the love of her life, Billy who proceeded her in death in 2012. She spent her married life supporting his military career while raising their two daughters. Carol loved camping, riding motorcycles, trips to Key West, playing tennis and golf, and spending time with family and friends. She loved watching all sports and was a big supporter of the Jaguars, Gators, and Chicago Cubs.  She was a lover of dogs and had them all her life, they were members of her family and treated like queens and kings.

Carol was a kind, compassionate, witty and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  All that knew her, loved her and she loved them back doing anything she could to make life wonderful for all. Kristina and Jessica were blessed beyond words to have been adopted and cared for through life by this wonderful woman.

She is survived by her daughters Kristina of Jacksonville, Florida and Jessica of Las Cruces, New Mexico, sister Betty Miller (Dee), of Dunnellon, Florida, four grandchildren, Courtney, Anthony, Mariah, and Cheyenne and five great grandchildren, Gage, Chloe, Jayde, Ben, and Zavian.

She was laid to rest on December 21st, 2020 at Arlington Memorial Gardens next to her husband and parents. In lieu of flowers Carol would love a donation in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Jacksonville Humane Society.
