Carole Lee Cook Fauss, 83, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021. She was born on June 20, 1937 to Gordon Leroy Cook and Thelma Mentory Voyles Cook in Atlanta, Georgia.

Carole married George Herman Fauss Jr, in Atlanta on February 14, 1959. They moved immediately to Jacksonville Florida where they remained. From a young age, Carole knew she wanted to be a wife, mother and a church secretary. She accomplished these goal by being married to Herman for almost 62 years, having 3 sons (8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild) and being the Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church secretary for 30 years. Carole enjoyed gardening, where she displayed her love of rocks, and planted flowers to attract butterflies. She enjoyed traveling, scrap booking and having as much fun as possible in her life.

Carole is survived by her husband, Herman, her brother Gordon Wayne Cook, her three sons and their families. David Fauss (Dr. Melissa Pigott) lives in Pompano Beach, FL. Dale Fauss (Lisa) lives in Keller, TX and has 4 children: Kyle (Meghan), Blake (Danielle), Lauren and Katelyn. Stephen Fauss (Lauren) lives in Jacksonville, FL and has 4 children: Charlie, Aaron, Patrick and Benjamin. Carole had one great grandson, Jackson, whose parents are Kyle and Meghan Fauss. Carole's sister Vanessa Cook McClain passed away in 2016.
