Obituary

Carole Graeber Livingston, 90, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Carole was born on September 7, 1935, to her parents Roland Archibald and Mildred (Swihart) Graeber. After graduating high school in Watseka, Illinois, Carole persued a career as a flight attendant. She traveled the world before moving on to insurance sales. She finally answered her vocation to serve the sick as an oncology RN in 1982, retiring at the age of 65.

Later in life, after settling her roots, she returned to her family and began focusing her efforts on building her relationship. Carole was loving mother to her son, David Livingston. She was headstrong and independent to a fault. She would always rather help someone than be helped. She was a devoted servant to those in need. She spent the Autumn years of her life with her dogs and cats, whom she loved. She enjoyed sewing, and painting and music from the '40s.

Beyond all else, Carole was a devout Christian. She attended the First Presbyterian Church on Monroe in Jacksonville, Florida and was an attentive parishioner. She was involved with her church's service opportunities and was deeply loved by her fellow church goers, to a degree that Carole never fully understood. A deep space is left in Carole's wake on account of her stewardship of others and those who loved her. Her legacy lives on through the example and faith she set and will be dearly missed.

Arrangements were made with Arlington Park Funeral Home. Friends and family may attend a celebration of life at the First Presbyterian Church (118 E Monroe St, Jacksonville, FL 32202) on Saturday, August 29 at 1 PM. All are welcome to attend.
