IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Marie
Amorosa
April 17, 1930 – November 3, 2023
Carolyn Marie Amorosa was born to Nicholas and Cathryn Amrose in Syracuse, NY on April 17, 1930 and died on November 3, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL.
Carolyn was known for her intelligence, beauty, creativity and humor. She moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1954 working in lawyer's offices, architectural firms and the booming tv industry. She was involved in the civil rights and women's movement and served on the Mayor's Commission on The Status of Women. She found friends and inspiration in the local arts community, was a small business owner and later worked for the city of Jacksonville Community Relations Commission.
Carolyn had a sweet tooth, was a wordsmith, an animal lover, the "cool Mom", always savvy and stylish with an easy laugh, stunning smile, and a sharp wit. She was the person you could confide in without judgement.
All beloved, she is predeceased by her sister Dolores Sheridan. She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Hardiman and Alice Firley, her children Christina Freeman (Larry), Alexander Fisher (Peggy), Fonda Fisher (James Frederick), her grandsons Joshua Freeman, Anthony Freeman, Weston Fisher, Barrett Fisher, her great grandsons Joseph, Ryan, Wyatt, Ellis Freeman and finally her great granddaughters Olivia and Marlowe Fisher, as well as nieces and nephews. At dinner one night she said, "If I had known I was going to live so long, I would've had more children."
We thank her for her brilliance.
There will be a private family service in her memory.
