Carolyn Lee Monies, age 81, daughter of Larry and Silvia Johnson Pierson who was born, March 31, 1935 in Flint, Michigan passed away November 2, 2016 at Acosta-Rua Center for Caring Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida.

Carolyn was a strong person that worked most of her life and also loved to sit on the beach and read her books..

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Monies and stepfather, Henry Byce.

She is survived by son, Michael Hill of Kernersville, North Carolina; daughters, Sharon Fagerquist and Barbara Hill both of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Michael Hill, Jr., Brandi Hill and Alex Hill, Ryan Fagerquist, Brandon Hill; and 4 great grand children, Taylor Hill, Ethan Hill, AJ McGrath and Addison McGrath.

The family would like to especially thank Chaplin Nada Frazier for all of her dedicated support and care.

A Celebration of Life will begin 1 pm, Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Nada Frazier of Northeast Community Hospice officiating.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
