Catherine Bernice Edwards (Stewart), 87, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, with her daughter by her side.

She was born on July 16, 1938, in Alma, Georgia. Her family soon settled in Jacksonville, where she graduated from Landon High School in 1956.

She married Freddie Ray Edwards on July 13, 1956. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters. Catherine worked at Prudential Insurance for over 30 years and then worked at Gateway Community Services until her retirement in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie, and her brother, Jerry Stewart.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Catherine is survived by her sister, Eleanor Hudson, her two daughters, Linda Mueller (Timothy) and Laura Whiteside (Glenn), and two grandchildren, Ava Ericson (Scott) and Nicholas Mueller. Service arrangements are entrusted to Arlington Park Funeral Home.
