Obituary of Cecil Platt

Cecil L. Platt, "Uncle Leonard", 83, passed away February 21, 2010. He was the son of Franklin and Georgia Ann Copeland-Platt. Affectionately known to all as "Uncle Leonard", he served in World War II in the United States Army and was a past "Master" in the Masons Lodge 343 in Jacksonville. He was also an Iron Worker in Union Hall 597. In addition to his parents, Uncle Leonard is preceded in death by two wives, Jacqueline Boyd-Platt (1990) and Erma K. Platt (2009) as well as 5 brothers and a sister. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Friday, February 26, 2010 in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, with Pastor Sarkis Baboyan, officiating. Interment will follow with Military honors and Masonic Rites in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
