Obituary of Charles Bowles

Charles David Bowles, 76, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away May 6, 2007 suddenly after a lengthy illness. He was born July 3, 1930 in Somerville, Massachusetts to David and Margaret Bowles. Charles retired as an Executive from Commercial Union Insurance Companies and from the State of Florida, Department of Insurance, where he served as a Supervisor, Financial Examiner/Analyst and was a Certified Financial Examiner and Certified Insurance Examiner. He received a Bachelors Degree from the University of North Florida. He is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Jeanne; daughters Kathleen Bowles and Karen Campbell (Terry); sons Kevin Bowles (Carey) and Steven Bowles; grandchildren Rebecca (Jason DeRonde), Ryan, and Kristen Campbell; Logan Bowles; and Haley and Sara Bowles; Golden Retriever, Savannah Rose; and many nieces, nephews; cousins, and friends. He is also survived by a sister Helen Harvey (James) of Medford, MA, a brother Edward Bowles (Helen) of Medford, MA, and a brother-in-law, Herbert Newell of Woburn, MA. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Margaret (Sullivan) Bowles and a sister, Margaret Newell.
