Obituary of Charles Johnston

Charles Edward Johnston, 89, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011. He was a loving husband devoted father, grandfather and caring friend to all who knew him. Charles was born on October 17, 1921 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to the late Thomas and Lillie Johnston. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Frances Johnston of 62 wonderful years. Charles was a World War II Veteran in the "Wooden Navy". He was also a long standing member of the Florida Home Builders Association and an avid Horseman. Charles is survived by his daughter Janis (Richard) Koerner; son James Johnston; granddaughter Danielle Hodges; sister Pansy McClain and numerous sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and a funeral service on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
