Obituary of Charles Stang

Charles Clifford Stang, 76, born November 26, 1938 in Elyria, Ohio to Charles and Mary Kreps Stang, passed away on July 28, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Charles joined the U.S. Army in 1958. Hobbies were skating, locksmithing, raising exotic birds and spending time with his children, grand children, and great grand children.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his loving wife of 55 years, Eldoros M. Stang, and beloved son, Terry C. Stang. Charles is survived by his children, Denise L. Vetter, Gary (Cindy) Stang, Jerry (Michelle) Stang, several grand children and great grand children.

The family will receive friends for a Visitation Gathering 5PM-7PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1030AM, Thursday, August 6, 2015 also at the funeral home with Pastor Dr. Frank King officiating.

A Graveside Blessing will immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257, Attn: Community Hospice Foundation, in Charles honor.

This wonderful organization made his passing an honorable and peaceful experience for Charles and his family.
