Cherie Lynn Peck, age 74, of Florida, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025. Born on June 28, 1950, in Wayne, Michigan, Cherie was the beloved only child of Bill Bramble and Evelyn Nielsen.
Cherie lived a vibrant and adventurous life. After spending her early years in California, she moved to England where she lived for eight years, eventually settling in Florida in 1995. She built a fulfilling career as an administrator with Georgia-Pacific before retiring.
Cherie was known for her love of the beach, with Huntington Beach holding a special place in her heart. A true free spirit, she enjoyed surfing, baking, dancing, and had a passion for fast cars and drag racing—embracing the thrill and excitement they brought. She also loved thrifting and shopping, always on the hunt for unique finds and great deals. These hobbies reflected her joyful, energetic personality and zest for life. Above all, Cherie cherished her family deeply and was especially devoted to her grandchildren. Her protective and loving nature made her a constant source of strength and comfort.
Cherie is preceded in death by her father and grandparents. She is survived by her loving mother, Evelyn Nielsen; her life companion and best friend, Charles Johnson; 3 daughters; Kimberly Horne, Marcita Birdis (Roderick Birdis), Melissa Robinson; one son, Jordan Peck (Amber Peck); eleven grandchildren, Shanay Gordon, Ciana Poteau (Gregory Poteau), DeVonny Scott, Amarri Robinson, Jayden Birdis, Aniyah Robinson, Ariyon Robinson, Moriah Birdis, Alijah Robinson, Dominic Peck, and Emmalynn Peck; four great-grandchildren, Marley Johnson, Madelyn Johnson, Ezra Poteau, and Elora Poteau; as well as a host of cousins, relatives , and dear friends.
Her warmth, passion for life, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew her.
In honor of Cherie's vibrant spirit, guests are encouraged to wear blue and white.
