Obituary of Clara Ubl
Clara Barbara UBL, 94, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2009 at Taylor Care Center in Jacksonville. She was born September 12, 1915 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota as the youngest of 18 children to Frank and Christine Sellner. Clara was a very independent and determined mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who had a great love for babies and had a heart of gold. Her family was the light of her life, especially her wonderful great-grandsons. She was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary daily. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael, son Thomas, and 17 brothers and sisters. Clara is survived by her daughter-in-law, Arlyne Ubl of Jacksonville; grandsons, Michael (Pamela) and Jay of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Kristine (Layne) Theesfield of Minneapolis, MN; great-grandsons Matthew Ubl and Jonathan Ubl and their mother Susan Morgan all from Jacksonville; step-granddaughter, Laura Gervais and step great-granddaughters Amanda and Abigail Gervais all from Jacksonville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Resurrection Catholic Church, 3383 N. University Blvd, Jacksonville, with Father Remek Blaszkowski, officiating. Entombment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home (724-6384) on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 4-6pm.
