Obituary of Clarence Harper

Clarence Julian "Mr. Bud" Harper, age 84, son of Dave and Hazel Gay Harper was born, August 13, 1931 in Deland, Florida passed away January 8, 2016 at the Acosta-Rua Center for Caring - Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida.

Bud served as Sergeant in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the Special Forces during the Korean conflict.

Bud began working at the age of 6. As a local businessman, he owned various companies which included Bud's Fuel Oil and Bud's TV Service. He was also owner of several rental properties. Bud retired from the United States Postal Service and continued to work in various fields retiring from Florida Telco Credit Union at the age of 74.

Clarence was preceded in death by his wife Jean Harper, granddaughter Kirsten Harper, and daughter-in-law Sandra J Harper.

He is survived by his loving wife Sandra K. Harper, sons David Harper, Richard Harper (Anne), Grandchildren Jeremy Harper (Karen), Jennifer Alexander (David), Casey Beard (Dominic) and Ryan Harper; Great Grandchildren Linda, Devon, Conner, Emma, David II and Kamryn; Sister-in-Law Cathy Benson (Stumpy).

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211. Visitation will be held beginning at 1:00PM. Celebration of Life will be at 2:00PM, Officiated by Rev. Al Hicks, followed by internment at Arlington Park Cemetery.
