Obituary of Claude Sorrells

Claude Henry Sorrells, 77, went home to be with the Lord September 27, 2009. Claude was born November 21, 1931 in Sylva, North Carolina to John Edward Sorrells and Pauline Campbell Sorrells. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Sorrells and James Sorrells. He leaves many to cherish his memory including his loving wife of 58 years, Gertrude Sorrells; daughter, Claudette Sorrells; sons, Carl E. Sorrells, Donald Sorrells and Terry Lee Smith; sister, Geneva Pauline Webb; brothers, Bobby Sorrells, Joe Sorrells and Leroy Sorrells; grandchildren, Mitchell, Terry Jr., Todd, Timothy, Lauren, Shane, Samantha and Sarah; great grandchildren, Davis, Brittany, Amber, Kendall and four others in Georgia and one in Colorado. Services to celebrate Claude's life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 7:00-9:00pm at the funeral home.
