Constance Ellis Boynton passed away on April 14,2024 in Jacksonville, FL, after a brief stay in Hospice. Constance was born on April 21, 1935, in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Loren and Raynora Ellis. She had an older sister whom she was very close, Barbara Willis. Due to her father's career as a college basketball coach the family frequently moved.
Connie graduated from Broward High School in Hollywood, Fl and attended Stetson University where she loved being involved as a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. While at Stetson she met the love of her life, Ray Boynton.
Connie had many successful careers. She worked for the State Board of Health in Hollywood, FL and later worked as the Secretary in the Chief of Police of Winter Park, Florida. She later taught 4-year-old kindergarten at Park Maitland in Winter Park. In Jacksonville she worked for Manpower Temporary Service and for St. David's Episcopal Church.
Connie's final and most cherished position was helping care for her grandson, Tyler.
Connie was a member of Living Water Christian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Caren Walrath, her grandson Tyler (Jennifer), sister-in-law, Kay Boynton and four nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Living Water Christian Church 1351 Sprinkle Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32211, with Rob Friend officiating.
