Constance (Connie) Owen Hill, 80 years old, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024. She was born on December 26, 1943, to parents Eugene and Dorothy Owen, in Jacksonville FL. Connie was a Jacksonville native with family lineage going back to the earliest settlement of the area. She is a Terry Parker alumni class of 1961 who was among the first year of students to attend the new school and she and her friends even met Mr. Terry Parker.

She had many accomplishments and was involved in her community but she cherished her family most deeply. She was the oldest of 8 siblings and a part of a large extended family. She met her husband in 1959 and soon began her own family. Her life was full of adventures. She lived in Morroco for 3 years as a military wife, upon returning from overseas she jumped into raising her family with both feet. The Hill family was known for road trips and camping. Enjoying the outdoors was important to her and she shared this love with her entire family as often as possible. When her children were in school she was very active baking cookies and cupcakes for school events, serving as chaperone for field trips, setting up fundraisers at the fall festival and taking the role of troop leader for girlscout troop #77 with her sister Pamela where she shared her love for the Florida outdoors with her troop of young girls. She did all of these things while working full time. She enjoyed the role of purchasing manager at the Coggin Companies where she oversaw the entire dealership portfolio and helped with construction of several new properties. She went on to run her own cosmetic manufacturing business that served the spa industry for over 20 years. She mostly loved working with her husband. Together they ran his fire sprinkler contracting company until they both retired.

She kept lists, she was organized and she cared about everyone. She loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren very much. She has touched so many lives with her giving and always caring spirit. She has lifted so many people up, always accommodating the extra kids at her house, cleaning up the messes that other people have made gracefully, packing thoughtful care packages for those around her that were struggling. Selflessly always working to make everything and everyone around her better. She will be deeply missed.

We are comforted that she is resting peacefully in heaven after enduring a long illness from COPD.

Connie is preceeded in death by her grandparents, and parents Dorothy and Eugene Owen and aunts and uncles on both sides of her family along with her siblings Gene Owen, Cynthia Witcher, Harriet Hollingshead and her niece Paula Gross.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Brent Hill.

Siblings Kent Owen, Cathy McClamma, Pamela Eichholz and Marilyn Gill. Aunt Emily Ann Zimmerman and Aunt Carolyn Smith.

Tim Gross, Billy McClamma, Matthew Witcher, David Hollingshead, Michael Hollingshead, Jason Saunders and Greg Saunders.
