Cristen Delphin (Cris) Andersen, Jr., 85, of Jacksonville, FL  passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018  at Cypress Village, Jacksonville.  Cris was born on October 19, 1932 in Jacksonville and grew up here, graduating from Andrew Jackson High School before going to Jacksonville University.  He served in the U.S. Marine Aviation Reserve and was an electrical engineer for authorities in Florida and Georgia.  On return from Atlanta he resided in Starke working with Clay Electric where he retired.  He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Jacksonville, and the Rotary Club of Starke, served on the board of the Alatchua Mental Health Board.  Cris was a member of the Morocco Shrine Temple.   He was in the Arab Patrol for over 50 years and a member at the Bradford County Lodge.  Cris was a 32 ^nd Degree KKCH Mason.

Preceding him in death were his parents Cristen D. Sr. and Jenny Nelson Andersen, Miriam Green Andersen, his wife of 65 years and Mark R. Andersen, his son.  Survivors:  His daughter Kathryn Avirett (Joe) Orange Park, step-brothers, John Andersen (Dianne) Orlando and Richard Andersen, Seattle, brother in laws Wallace M. Green, Jr. (Shirlee) Atlantic Beach  and Robert Green (Rose) Jacksonville,6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

A Memorial will be Tuesday, August 28 ^th 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the Gazebo in Arlington Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Karen Billy of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ officiating.
