Danasia Elise Willis, 14, of Jacksonville, Florida passed peacefully in her sleep on August 6, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side. Danasia was born on November 16, 2011, in Jacksonville, Florida under the delicate care of Kenneth and Sherry (Cosby) Willis. Danasia was a gentle presence who relied on the tender compassion and care of others. She was beloved by all in her care team and home. She had a huge personality and her own way of communicating that let her inner voice be well heard and known.

She was a happy baby, always quick to smile in joy which she loved to pass on to others. She looked forward most to mealtimes, especially when biscuits, gravy and eggs were being served. She attended Fletcher's Tender Care where she was a joy to her caretakers and kept up with the demands of her active mind. Danasia had an affinity for water; gaining the ability to express the energy she had inside the moment she was afloat and able to kick.

Danasia's time with us was far too brief. She was the center of the world for those who knew her, and a light in any room graced by her smile. With the help of others, Danasia was able to experience life to its fullest extent, to the best of her ability. Though her life was defined by challenge, she was blessed with so many who were grateful to care for and adore her. They made all the difference in the world to Danasia, as she did for them. Danasia has now gone to rest with the healing grace of the Lord, waiting to see us again soon. She will be deeply missed.
