Obituary of Daniel Fay

Daniel P. Fay Sr., 88, passed on to Heaven on Wednesday evening, 2/17/10. Dad was born in Philadelphia, but raised in Atlantic City, N.J. He is a World War II Veteran. Danny and his family moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1964. He started his own Wholesale food business with a GI loan and remained in that business all his life. He is now reunited with his two sons, Danny Jr. (Rosie) and Larry. Danny's wife of 68 years, Laura, and his son Fr. Greg Fay live in Jacksonville. His grandson, Paul (Heather) and their children live in Colorado Springs. Danny is a devout Catholic and a generous volunteer in the community. He and his wife volunteered at Memorial hospital for over 20 years. The funeral Mass is at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2010, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Road. At Dad's request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Holy Family Catholic School Tuition Assistance Fund, 9800 Baymeadows Road, 32256. Dad is a strong supporter of Catholic education. "God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to me."
