Daniel Cavanaugh Finnell, 77, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Miami, Florida to Isaac Warren Finnell and Katherine Ann Cavanaugh on June 3, 1941.

Dan retired from the Jacksonville Shipyards, was a Master Mason 32degree member of the Ribault lodge in Jacksonville Beach and was a member of the Shrine organization in Jacksonville. He also served in the Air Force and was an avid fishing and hunting outdoorsman.

Daniel was preceded in death by; his wife, Mary, his parents and his youngest brother, Mark Finnell.

He is survived by his second wife, Cheryl; children, Robin Finnell Staton and Karan Finnell Griffis, his grandchildren, Colton and Bailie Staton, brother, David Finnell (Joan) and sister, Ann Finnell.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5pm-7pm in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.  Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Timothy McDaniel officiating.
