Obituary of Darlyne Gorton

Darlyne Ann Gorton, 83, passed away on May 17, 2008. She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Darlyne was born on July 26, 1924 in Lake City, Iowa to the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Hobart. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 wonderful years, Donald B. Gorton, and her brother Donald Hobart. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends including her daughters Carol Guggisburg (Donald), and Marshia Conklin (Michael); grandsons, Steve, Matt, Chad and Todd; six great-grandchildren; her sisters, Delores Williams and Beth Kilgore; sisters- in law, Marge Hobart and Dorothy Clevenger. Darlyne was a lifetime member of Christ the King having attended since 1983. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 6-8:00p.m. in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. A rosary will be held at 7:00p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
