Obituary of David Jackson
David Thomas Jackson, 62, son of Frank T. Jackson, Burnice Woolwine Jackson, and A.H. Mann, born March 5, 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away May 15, 2015 at the Acosta Rua Hospice Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
David was a 1971 graduate of Paxon High School and attended FCCJ. He worked as a sales representative for several companies around the city. His honesty and personality helped him achieve success in this field. He enjoyed watching football, NASCAR, and playing poker with his friends. He took great pride in having the best looking lawn on the block. Nothing made him happier than spending time with family.
David was preceded in death by his biological father A.H. Mann, and his adoptive parents Frank and Burnice Jackson, along with his sister, Shirley Mann.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Mary Beth Heaton Jackson; his son Philip B. Jackson, PhD; his daughter Katie Crews (Max); his grandson Charlie; Arden Mann; his brothers Ron Mann (Raye); Donnie Mann (Deborah); Joe Mann (Sandi), and his sister Terry Mann Gray (Donnie), along with dozens of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday May 22, 2015, in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Shannon Wallace officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
