David Mackin, 61, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025. He was born on December 11, 1963, and lived a life filled with love for family, laughter, and time spent on the water.

David was a dedicated employee at Johnson & Johnson, where he built lasting friendships and took pride in his work. Outside of his career, he found joy in fishing,spending time on the water, and embracing the outdoors. Among his greatest joys was sharing adventures with his mother, who was not only his parent but his dearest adventure buddy.

He is survived by his mother, Julia Mackin; his daughter, Jerica Sansing, and her husband Joshua; his cherished granddaughters, Shelby and Kelsea Sansing; and his sister, Cheryle Lewis, and her husband Rick; along with many beloved nieces, nephews,grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. David's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held after service so that family, friends and colleagues may join together in honoring David's memory.
