David Joseph Schenck went home to be with the Lord this past Monday June 24th at the age of 83. His passing will be mourned by
the many who knew and loved him.

This man of faith was born in Plainfield, N.J. on May 30,1941. David was raised in New Jersey where he would meet his wife of 54 years MaryAnn McLaughlin.

David and MaryAnn would move here to Jacksonville, Florida in 1973 where they would raise their family. He worked for 30 years with the Nissan U.S.A. Corporation retiring in 2004 at the age of 63.

David and MaryAnn have been active and engaged Christians nearly their entire adult life with a church membership of 39 years at Harvest Baptist Church and the last 7 years at Southpoint Baptist Church where they rarely missed a Sunday service.

David is preceded in death by his parents Archibald and Marie Schenck. A brother Edwin Schenck. A beloved grandson Christopher Jenkins.

David is survived by his wife MaryAnn. His four daughters: Lorraine Pimenta, Cindy Schenck, Gloria Goodbread and Robin Moody (Robert). His loving grandchildren: Kylie, Trey, Savannah, Ashley, Amber, Angelina, Maryhannah, Robert Jr., Mitchell, Zach.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 28th at the Southpoint Baptist Church at 3335 Tiger Hole Road in Jacksonville. Visitation will begin at 9:30AM with the service beginning at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at the Arlington Park Cemetery on Lone Star Road. His former pastor and family friend Rev. Wilford McCormick will be officiating along with Pastor's Terry Collins and Jacob White of Southpoint Baptist.
